Arsenal have been told that Montpellier will be considering selling their prized duo Olivier Giroud and Younes Belhanda this summer if they receive a suitable offer, according to a report by the Metro.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with the pair in recent months but will face stiff competition from a host of European clubs.
The Metro claims that both players are valued at around £10m each, with Giroud said to have a €13 release clause in his contract, and Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has admitted his club will sell their prized assets if they receive suitable offers. Quoted by the Metro, Nicollin said:
‘If we’re offered a lot of money, Giroud and Belhanda will certainly go,’
When asked specifically about the future of Giroud:
‘He’s a clever boy. Another season at Montpellier, especially in the Champions League, won’t stop him earning a lot of money later on.’ Nicollin continued on the Metro. (read the full article)
