Arsenal should attempt to steal Real Madrid’s Brazilian Left Back Marcelo Viera Da Silva Junior. Currently at AFC there are problems at left back, as we cannot chose a strong consistent left back. Andre Santos attacks a little too much and Kieran Gibbs is not the quality we want, and is inexperienced.

Why would Marcelo be a good option? Well I will tell you why, the Brazilian sensation currently has 156 appearances for Real Madrid, and has scored 16 goals. He is very experienced and plays for one of the best teams in the world. He also has 9 appearances for Brazil scoring 3 goals.

He would definitely sort out our problems at left back and bring a great amount of pace and quality to our defence. Then he would introduce more competition to Santos and Gibbs so they would work harder. I hope the boss would ever look into signing Marcelo as he is an amazing left back and a player we would need.

The fee I guess would be around 10-18 million but it would definitely be money well-spent. He is young and has a great future ahead of him. So here is my view on a player Arsenal should really look into purchasing. In my opinion, Marcelo is the best left back in the world.

    Marcelo is class. Class cost big money. We don’t have/spend big money. Although I do agree it would be money well spent and he would certainly improve the team massively, I probably imagine he would be 20+ million.
    Madrid did spend a huge amount of money on Coentrao (30 mill i think) who at the time was left back for Benfica. I thought that would have been the end of Marcelo at Madrid to be honest but Mourinho uses him as more of a winger and all round utility player.
    Marcelo is still first choice left back for Madrid, is winning titles and prob gets paid a lot more in Spain than what we would pay him. Why would he come to Arsenal?
