Liverpool are reportedly planning to make a move for Wigan Athletic star winger Victor Moses if their Gylfi Sigurdsson chase becomes unsuccessful and he decides to move to other Premier League club Spurs.

The Hoffenheim midfielder was meant to be new boss Brendan Rodgers’ first-choice signing but it was reported that Spurs were the ones to have offered more money to the Iceland international and he looks set to move to White Hart Lane in an impressive £8million deal.

However, The Sun did report that Rodgers has no problem with that and could easily make a move for Moses who saw a small £4million bid from Chelsea earlier this week flatly rejected straight away by Wigan chairman Dave Whelan.

The Latics chairman wants the 21-year-old to remain at the DW Stadium for a year or two longer having seen Chelsea bid less than half his valuation.
