Arsenal are being heavily linked with Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo even though the club has got two new strikers on the books, this summer a move appears to be unlikely but with contract rebel Van Persie it could be that Arsenal might just make a move.
The 26-year-old is rated £20million and is also reportedly interesting Liverpool, who look to be a more likely destination at that price and their current situation. Will Arsenal be interested in adding another Striker to their gunners.
Spanish newspaper AS claimed that Negredo has been tracked by Arsenal and could be finding his way to the Emirates should Robin van Persie finally leave while Liverpool could see him as a possible replacement for Andy Carroll who is increasingly being linked with a move away from Anfield especially towards AC Milan and West ham.
Negre, when he was young, did play for Real Madrid and cost Sevilla £12million when he was able to moved there around three years ago. However, ‘The Beast of the Vallecas’ as he is known as, has been able to have a decent goalscoring record with Sevilla, scoring 45 times in 103 league games.
