Spurs and City agree Adebayor fee

The former Arsenal striker has finally found a place to stay, with the fee agreed between the two clubs.

Manchester City have now allowed Spurs to talk personal terms over with Emmanuel Adebayor, who spent last season on loan at White Hart Lane.

The forward has been moved around a lot in the past few seasons, and spent the second half of the 2010/11 season at Real Madrid on loan. But failed to make such an impact that the Bernabeu outfit didn’t see him fit to stay.

But after making a huge impact last season at Spurs, new head coach Andre Villas Boas will be keen to see him stay.

The fee of around £6 million will see him also take a wage cut on the £160,000 a week he was on while at City. While still managing to remain as Tottenham’s highest paid player.
