A number of Arsenal associates are using media to try to keep their Captain.
Ramsey and Wenger have both used the media to persuade Van Persie to stay at the Emirates.
The two are reportedly the first of a few Arsenal players that will use the media to attempt to keep lasts seasons top scorer.
Aaron Ramsey stated earlier today via skysports:
“He had a brilliant season last year and he is a big player for us, so we are just hopeful that he will stay.”
Van Persie reportedly turned down a £130,000 a week wage offer from Arsenal, and today there are rumours he wants at least £10.1 million a year. Which succumbs to approx £180,000 weekly.
Manchester United are rumoured to have bid £15m for the striker, however Arsene Wenger stated that his valuation for the Dutch is £30m. Which is way above the interested clubs valuation.
Wenger is also included in the plan to keep RVP and stated earlier today:
“For me, Van Persie is one of the best strikers in the world, if not the best, and my desire is to keep him at the club,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.
“As for the rest I will do what is in the best interests of Arsenal Football Club. That, at the moment, is where we are. There is not a lot more to say than that.”
