Manchester United could be set to make a official bid for fantastic Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama. The 21-year-old has been the subject of numerous glowing reports from north of the border and has already been linked with numerous interests from a number of English clubs and it seems like United will be joining the race.
It was reported on Friday that Wanyama was being watched byManchester United scouts in Celtic’s friendly game with Norwich on Tuesday. Celtic would be reportedly looking for around £8million for Wanyama, which is not a bad price, who only moved to Parkhead last summer in a £900,000 deal with Belgian side Beerschot. The Kenya international is said to be extremely unhappy at playing in the centre of defence rather than as a defensive midfielder player, which is his main preferred position.
Wanyama has also been a target for Liverpool, Stoke City and QPR but it is believed that Manchester United are already readying a bid for the 21-year-old.
