Manchester United are sweating over possible injuries for new signings Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa for Saturday’s game against Premier League club Wigan Athletic.
Van Persie was taken off during Hollad’s 4-1 victory over Hungary in their World Cup qualifying game on Tuesday after having picking up a thigh strain while Kagawa was not included in Japan’s 1-0 win over Iraq with a back injury he picked up in training on Monday.
The pair will reportedly be assessed as early as today at training even though Kagawa is believed to be a extreme doubt for the Wigan game as he said yesterday that he was still in some incredible pain.
United are already missing striker Wayne Rooney who will be out for at least two more weeks after picking up a gash in the 3-2 victory over Fulham last month leaving all United fans to rest their hope for goals on Van Persie.
