Manchester United are reportedly keeping an eye on current Lille left-back Lucas Digne. The Red Devils were believed to have sent scouts to Rennes on Friday to watch the 19-year-old in action as his side went down to a 2-0 defeat.
Digne has come up through the youth ranks at Lille and was able to break into the first-team last season. He has maintained his place in the side this season and is now regarded as first choice at left back.
Manchester United are still monitoring targets in the left-back position despite having signed Alexander Buttner this summer as cover for Patrice Evra.
Chelsea are also known to be keeping an eye on Digne, according to the Daily Mail, as they will also be looking for possible replacements for Ashley Cole, who will be out of contract at the end of the season.
Digne is under contract to Lille until around 2016.
