Chelsea will be challenged in their efforts to sign Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao after Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was spotted in the stands during the Spanish side’s victory over Malaga on Sunday.
Mancini’s presence at the Vicente Calderon stadium has heightened speculation over a counter-bid for the Colombian striker who scored his eighth goal of the season in Atletico’s 2-1 victory.
Falcao was linked with interest from Chelsea last summer but he is not expected to leave Atletico before the end of the season at the earliest and suggested last week that he will only leave if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Who will sign him first?
