Manchester United are once again being heavily linked with Dinamo Zagreb teen Alen Halilovic. The 16-year-old was linked with the club a month ago but is believed to have been training with Real Madrid. The Spanish side have already had a bid of 5million euro (£4million) rejected Dinamo who are believed to value him at around 15-18million euro (£12-15million).
Halilovic recently became the youngest goalscorer in Croatian league history when he scored in Dinamo’s 4-1 victory over Slaven Koprivnica. Last month he became the youngest player ever to play in Croatian top-flight game.
The son of former Dinamo player Sead Halilović, Halilovic signed professional forms with the club four months ago when he said: “I enjoy playing for Dinamo. This is what I dreamed about when I started to play football. The reason I started was because I wanted to be like my dad: to play for Dinamo Zagreb.”
Real are expected to come back with a better offer although that could wait until next summer but should Halilovic leave Dinamo the Bernabeu is said to be his favoured destination.
